Huskers Headed for College World Series
With 9-6 Super Regional win over Rice

LINCOLN - A Nebraska team is finally on the way to Nebraska’s College World Series.
In a stunning 10th-inning show of force, the Nebraska Huskers loaded the bases and batted three runs in to beat the Rice Owls 9-6. Rice’s A.J. Porfirio forced the extra inning with a homer to left field that tied the game at 6-all in the ninth. It all happened in NCAA Super Regional action at Buck Beltzer field.
Nebraska now goes to Omaha for a chance to win it all.
